have you ever been there though

children of 5, multiple wives

have you ever wrote a letter

called, or kept up with your seed

night after night, does it bother you

that you never held me as a baby

nor witness me grow as a teenager

nor supported me into adulthood

an absent father taught me to love my mother

but an absent father never taught me to love another
